I think about marriage a lot these days. And yes, that's because my marriage is quickly approaching. But it's also due to the amazing marriages just beginning in my friends' lives. I have had the privilege of a wonderful friendship with an incredible girl. She loves the Lord with all her heart, has the uncanny ability to make you feel comfortable at all times, and is sure to make you smile. So this weekend, it was my honor to attend her wedding and watch her begin the newest chapter in her life. She and her now husband (that's so exciting to say!) had a beautiful service surrounded by friends, family, and Christ. I loved the goosebumps I got when she first walked through the church doors (girl, you had me on the brink of tears!) and as the sheer joy radiating from her filled the sanctuary. It was a pleasure to witness the promise they made not only to each other, but also to our creator. I was never more excited for my own nuptials as I was then, knowing soon enough Pete and I will be making the same commitment. It gave us reason to pause and reevaluate, while also gleefully reminiscing, on our own journey to marriage. I find it to be such a blessing to have people in my life to help keep my eyes focused, making sure I'm striving for the best in my faith and relationships! I am so grateful for that beautiful Saturday and couple. This lady has been such an incredible inspiration in my life and it gives me so much happiness that her fairytale is coming true.
