Friday Favorites, Hello November!

November 7, 2014

Happy, happy Friday to you!! I'm so excited for this weekend and the time husband and I will get to spend with some of our favorite people! We'll be headed out of town come this evening for a little backwoods, cabin relaxation and it's going to be glorious!

Like always, I'm sharing some favorites from the week today, linking up with Momfessionals and a lot of other lovely gals. But, can I just say first....how is it already November?! I kind of love it though, the holidays are in full swing and I am swooning over here!

[one] We finished October out as Mary Poppins and Bert. And it was the best!

[twoFallon's "Wheel of Impressions". Ya'll I can't get enough of this game that Jimmy Fallon plays with his guests! You NEED to watch it, but be warned you will laugh and out loud.

[three] My new holiday season décor is now up as I transition from Halloween into Thanksgiving/Winter/Christmas. I am so antsy to get my Christmas decorations up, and I'm thinking this year that might be mid-November. I just can't help it!

[four] On Sunday. it had been two years since husband proposed. It feels like yesterday that he asked me to be his wife.

[five] I had an unexpected visit to my alma mater on Monday and it was GORGEOUS! Seriously, Tech wears fall colors so well!

[six] Taking care of my civic duty on Election Day, and sporting some festive red to go along with my new sticky accessory.

[seven] The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, an 85 foot tall Norway Spruce, has been cut down and is being hauled in to set up! I want to be there one year when they turn all 45,000 lights on. I think it would be magical!

[eight] Mid-week is my saving grace sometimes. With Bible study in the morning and family time in the evening. If only that could be every day! At least I get it once a week, and I'm grateful for that!

[nine] I listened to Christmas music yesterday and loved it! Typically, I try to wait till at the end of November, but close I decided to go ahead and indulge this year. I don't regret it a bit. The Indie Christmas station on Pandora is perfection for November Christmas music.  And last Saturday husband and I did a little Christmas décor shopping and it may or may not already be out at my house.

[ten] Taylor's Swift's new album. I don't think I need say anymore. I don't think it matters if I'm 17, 22 or 24, that girl's music always has my interest!

[eleven] I was super excited to share on Monday that I am making Christmas cards to spread a little holiday cheer with you and yours!

[twelve] Because I'm not always so good at being aware of all the blessings I have to be thankful for, I started Thankful Thursdays to give myself time to reflect on all that I should be grateful for from now through Thanksgiving Day. I'd love for you to join me next Thursday!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!  And be sure to swing back by the blog on Monday for a pretty festive announcement!! One that includes you and a whole lot of Christmas cheer! I'll be sharing all the details then!
