Goals & Resolutions for 2015

January 6, 2015

A new year and new goals. Husband and I have declared that this is our year to sparkle, and we're going to make it happen. I just know that 2015 is going to be incredible and I'm so very excited for this chapter. While we don't have a lot of things on the calendar for the year, it's just January and I know events and adventures, both big and small, await us.

To make sure the year is fabulous I've got some aspects of my life that I want to improve upon. I know that I might not conquer everything, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Be Intentional
...with time in the Word.
...with prayer.
...with husband time.
...with friends & family.

This is a huge one for me. I want to make sure to set time aside each week to work on my Bible study uninterrupted, to pray unceasingly, to settle down daily with husband for quality time, and to have more with friends and family,

Get & Stay Organized
Husband and I have moved six times in six years. We have college to thank for that. But from the time we got married and moved into our current home, we have finally been in one place for more than a year. And it feels so good! You would think in all those years of moving about that we would lessen our load each time. On the contrary; our belongings doubled if not tripled. So when the new year began, we started going through our things and making piles for keep and donation.

We plan to get the rest of our home organized and simplified. And mostly, we plan to keep it that way! But more on how we'll be doing that next week for the Every Girl Link-Up.

I used to be a bookworm, and at some point between high school and now that has dwindled down to just about no leisurely reading. I want to get back into reading during downtime instead of watching television and scrolling through social media,

Make Time for Exercise
I think this one speaks for itself. Who couldn't use exercise?! So as the year kicks into gear, so am I. Fingers crossed that I can stick to this.

More than anything I want to be more encouraging to the person that I am. I have a bad habit of critiquing myself harshly and getting down on myself, especially if I dwell on something. This year, my biggest goal is love myself better, let go of little things, and let God guide me.

What are your goals for this new year?? Is 2015 going to be your best year yet too??
