Thoughts For Friday + The Pick: Week 32

Friday, August 14, 2015
Not only is this Friday, but it's the start to vacation!! Charleston, we're coming for you in the morning! We'll be spending a glorious week at the beach with my family, and the timing couldn't be more perfect. Husband and I are in need of a little R&R. Plus, Charleston is a new visit for us, and we're looking forward to discovering all that it has to offer. Have you been?? Anything we should absolutely see or do?!

T H I N K I N G  > Did I get everything packed that I needed for vacation??

P O N D E R I N G > Just how long it will take for my hair to grow out long...

N E E D I N G > More of that delicious sparkling berry lemonade that I had last Friday at Steppin' Out. Guess I'm going to need to start experimenting in the kitchen!

L I S T E N I N G > To the locusts. Their sound reminds me of childhood and they way it used to mark the onset of another school year beginning.

D R E A M I N G > Of new fall nail polishes. I haven't seen any out, have you?

S W O O N I N G > Over the leaves that have started changing color in my neck of the woods. They're beautiful and it's making my heart happy.

Have such a good weekend friends!! I hope it's a fabulous one! See you back here Monday with a Butterscotch Maple No-Bake Cookie Recipe! xo

  1. We live in Charleston! So much to do and see! Check out the parks downtown- Waterfront Park and the Battery. Kaminskys is the most amazing dessert spot downtown- Try the Tollhouse Pie if you like chocolate. I could go on and on- but have a ton of fun! We love just wandering the streets downtown such as Church Street. The market on market street is fun and King Street has all the shops- Lush is a great all natura beauty shop: anyways have fun!!!

  5. A beach vacation to Charleston sounds amazing!! I'll be watching for your IG updates :)
Locusts and cicadas really do sound like summer to me! We don't have them here, but when we were in Chicago two weeks ago, I was taken back to my childhood :)
