TFF + The Pick No. 12

March 25, 2016

Ahhh. That's me sighing because this week has been full. Full in the best ways, and it's leaving me ready for an extra long nap or three. But you know what, this week has been good for one very good reason.  Jesus. If you've ever wondered how much you are loved, know that the Lord loves you a mighty amount. So much in fact, that he sent His son to die on the cross for every. single. one. of us. And as we celebrate the resurrection of our mighty Savior this weekend, let it also be a beautiful reminder of how cherished you are in His sight.

Our little family has some traditions to stick to and create this weekend. Tonight we'll be enjoying dinner with more family followed by a Good Friday service at church. Saturday we will be heading to my hometown for a little Easter bunny lovin' (just wait for those photos!), and Sunday morning you'll find us at church. Of course Easter Sunday wouldn't be complete without a scrumptious meal too! I hope you and yours have a very lovely Easter weekend!

p.s. I want to let you all know that I love reading every single one of your comments. I feel like I know so many of you that frequently comment, and I look forward to what you have to say. I'm planning on installing a new commenting system next week so that you can be notified when I respond. We'll see how it works out!!

T H I N K I N G  > About the goodness of Good Friday and what it means for me for eternity.

P O N D E R I N G > How in the world birds have such good aim on moving targets. On Tuesday I was strolling along with Greer, my SIL, and nephews when I felt a plomp on my head. I knew instantly that it had come from a bird, but hoped that it had been a stick instead. My SIL confirmed that yes, it was in fact bird poo and then she helped clean it out of my hair and off of my shoulder with baby wipes. That was certainly a first.

N E E D I N G > To get in bed earlier. I was doing so well for a while and now I'm allowing myself to get in bed way too late. A girl needs her sleep!

L I S T E N I N G > Basketball being played on the television. Husband has it going and is watching those brackets. Me, I don't really have much interest, but I don't mind the background noise.

D R E A M I N G > Of the beach and a tanned bod. I looked down at my legs yesterday and was shocked to see so much pale white!

S W O O N I N G > Over Greer and all of her sweet coos. She is "talking" up a storm now. In fact, last night as husband was singing her to sleep she was cooing along with him, as if she was trying to sing with her daddy. My heart was one big puddle on the floor listening to the two of them.

Happy Easter, lovelies!
