Thankful Thursday 2014, Pt 1

November 6, 2014

I've decided that every Thursday through Thanksgiving I will be sharing some of my "thankfuls" here on the blog. Because sometimes I feel that I am not aware of all the things I should be thankful for, and I want to make a conscious effort to do so this month, remembering also, exactly where those blessings come from. Life can be busy, and often times the goodness of it goes unnoticed when we become comfortable. So in an effort to show my gratitude daily, I'm going to compile all those "thankfuls" here. Will you join me??

Thankful for... This one is easy, because all blessings are bestowed by Him. I'm so thankful for the Lord, for the amazing sacrifice he made through His son so that I could have eternity with Him. I'm thankful for his daily grace, because ya'll I'm not perfect and if it wasn't for his grace in my life where would I be?! And how about His love?? Sometimes I think I don't deserve it, but He thinks I do and that humbles me to my core. It's in the Great I Am that I have life, and through Him that I live.

Thankful for... My husband. His name, Peter, means rock, and that couldn't be more fitting. He is my rock in this life and I don't know what I'd do without him. He makes life the most fun and we have the best time together. This guy still gives me butterflies and makes me swoon :)

Thankful for... My family. Even when they drive me nuts or make me mad, I'm still thankful for them. Family is everything to me; those relationships aren't to be taken for granted and I think it is so important to have healthy, loving family relations. Nothing can replace it.

Thankful for... My friends, which might as well be my family. These friends of mine are super cherished and I only hope that our relationships grow throughout the years. Really, what would you do without your girlfriends?! I especially love that husband and I have couple friends, because it's a whole different level of special.

Thankful for... This blog of mine. I can't begin to tell you how much I cherish it because it has allowed me to document life, when I otherwise wouldn't. I love going back through my archives and reading about what was happening in life a year ago, or just four months ago. And I love all of the people I have 'met' through blogging. I wish there was a way to meet them all in person, to sit down with one another, drinking coffee and sharing life.

Thankful for... Starbucks and their red cup. It would be a lie if I acted like I wasn't thankful for this coffee house and their very successful attempt at spreading holiday cheer through their seasonal red cup. I think I love Starbucks even more when the red cup comes out, silly I know, but oh so true. I'm a holiday lover, therefore loving anything that celebrates the holiday season. Call me corny, and I'm okay with that :)

Thankful for... The holidays. I think this is the best time of the year, and I'm so grateful to have annual events to bring family, friends, and cheer together. Sometimes I think nothing could be better! Plus, I love the decorations and turning my home into a festive oasis!

Next week, I'll be sharing more "thankfuls", and so on every Thursday until Thanksgiving Day! I hope you'll join me, or maybe just leave a comment with your "thankfuls"! If you are an Instagramer, use the hashtag, #thankfulgratefulme and tag me if you like when sharing your Thursday "thankfuls"! I'd love to see the photos you pair with those!!
