Every Girl Link-Up || Easter Touches

April 2, 2015

Happy April! I can't believe that we're another month into 2015, much less that Easter is this Sunday! Having Easter early in the month always throws me off and I feel like it comes out of nowhere. So to enjoy the true reason of this holiday, I went for more subtle touches to bring the Easter and spring feels into our home. It feels cozy in our sweet home with the bunnies and eggs scattered around creating the perfect Easter touches.

Today Rachel and I are hosting the Every Girl Link-Up, be sure to keep scrolling to catch other sweet homes and their fun Easter décor. If you're a blogger, grab the button at the bottom of this post and link-up with us! I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone was inspired to decorate for Easter!

Our console table has got to be my favorite place to decorate. Albeit it's not complete (we still need to make the concrete top), it's been the best addition to our family room. For Easter I found the cutest glass bunnies at Target, perfect with their gold metallic ears. They found a sweet home on top of the console, along with a lilac candle.

On the bottom, I cleaned out the winter pinecones from the basket and replaced them with some brown moss and cute, metal carrots. And this sweet "Cottontail FARM" frame made the finishing touches to the console. It reminds me of the tale of Peter Rabbit and brings back some childhood memories. When I spotted it, I was taken with it immediately. Can you blame me?

Flowers and candy are always a fun and inexpensive way to decorate for holidays and seasons. Combining the two never made such a better pair! All you need is some empty, clear jars, your favorite, festive candy, and the flowers of your choice to spruce up any spot.

In this particular instance I paired the candy and flowers with bright jars and my Chatbooks. The colors scream spring to me! And the pastel Cadbury eggs are kind of a given :)

This metal tree was a find during the fall, and I've used it for every holiday/season since. As a little girl, one of our Easter decorations was this tiny, twig tree with itty bitty ornaments on it. So I knew immediately how I would use this tree for Easter.

I found some little wooden bunnies to add to it, along with a moss bunny and duck. Eggs were missing, so I found egg ornaments to add to it. I had grand plans to paint those eggs in festive colors, but the time literally escaped me. So I'll save that DIY for next year!

And no Easter would complete without wooden baskets full of fake, green grass. I hear childhood calling :)

Another favorite this year is the DIY egg garland on my mantel. It was such an easy and cost-friendly way to add subtle Easter flair to our family room. I've loved the natural look it brings along with the bright colors of the eggs.

With some leftover, yellow eggs, I filled a little cloche jar for a simple Easter touch to the dining room table.

And to complete the dining room, I added a different kind of egg garland. With some wooden eggs I strung together this fun vine branch. The pastels and unique prints really give the dining room a pop of Easter cheer!

And so you have it, my home tour of Easter décor! I'm so looking forward to seeing yours! Just grab the button and link-up, ladies!
