Hour By Hour Weekend [July]

July 13, 2015

I'm pretty sure I blinked and this weekend disappeared. Anyone else feel like that?! It was a good weekend though, with lots of to-dos and lots of fun. And somehow I managed to snap a picture every hour (that I was awake!) to capture my hour by hour weekend with my iPhone. I love looking back at my first HBHW because I know I'd never remember all the details of a weekend, but with these posts I can!

Be sure to link up at the bottom of the post with your hour by hour weekend; and if you share it on Instagram, use the #hourbyhourweekend so I can see it!

F R I D A Y

5:30 >> I kicked the weekend off with a prenatal massage, and it was exactly what this tired body needed!

6:30 >> We were starving by the time my massage was over, and instead of cooking dinner in, we opted for dinner out.

7:00 >> Firehouse subs always hits the spots. Since I'm supposed to steer clear of sandwich meat, unless it's well heated, I can't indulge in subs or sandwiches like I want. So a hot Italian sub always make baby and this mama-to-be quite happy.

8:00 >> We went for an oldie, but goody when it came to picking out a movie. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang kept us entertained for the rest of the night.

9:00 >> While watching the movie, I went to work on some décor for our gender reveal party. And here is your sneak peak!

10:00 >> Still crafting and hot gluing.

11:00 >> It was way too late for cookies in bed, but that didn't stop us! Chocolate chop cookies anyone??

S A T U R D A Y

8:30 >> Up, showered, and bed made for the day.

9:00 >> Cinnamon rolls (my weekend breakfast favorite) while putting make-up on and getting ready to head out.

10:00 >> Berry picking. Summer is for fresh fruit, people!

11:00 >> After piking for about 45 minutes, this was our loot.

12:00 >> The beginning of garage gate begins! With the help of my parents and sister we got our garage cleaned up and our guest bed moved down and stored. It's time to start making room for baby and de-cluttering!

1:30 >> We finished cleaning the garage up, and my what a difference it made!

2:00 >> Lunch = Sonic, picnic style on the floor.

3:00 >> I baked a chocolate zucchini cake. The recipe is coming soon! And while I baked, husband did engineering things!

4:00 >> We took down the 4th of July decorations and tidied the house up a bit.

5:00 >> Then back to engineering for husband. This guy of mine is pretty incredible when it comes to all things mechanical!

6:00 >> We began making dinner, spaghetti squash primavera. And while the vegetables sautéed and the marinara simmered, I glazed my cake with a chocolate coffee drizzle.

7:30 >> We ran by the pretzel place in the mall for a sweet snack

8:00 >> The drive-in movie theater for a viewing of Inside Out. If there is a drive-in theater near you, I can't recommend going enough! It's such a fun experience.

9:00 >> Inside Out begins! It was a cute movie, but for husband and I, it didn't live up to the all the rage we've heard about it. Still, a good film though.

10:00 >> Still soaking in the drive-in experience as the move wound down.

10:30 >> The movie ended and we were headed home, ready to hit the hay.

 11:00 >> And bedtime!

S U N D A Y

9:30 >> This baby bump is not going anywhere any time soon! Before heading out, we stopped for a little family selfie :)

10:00 >> On this particular Sunday, we skipped church and headed to my hometown for some quality time with my family. And before hitting the road we stopped for one of my very favorites!

11:00 >> We arrived at my parents and I settled right in.

11:30 >> While husband set up game cameras with my dad and my mom and sister ran an errand, I picked up a magazine and snuggled in with my latte. Shortly after I was asleep. #pregnantgirlprobs

12:00 >> While I was sleeping, husband picked some wild blackberries and wineberries.

1:00 >> After a quick lunch, we headed outside with Icees.

1:30 >> We played croquet and in the perfect timing. Shortly after it ended, the rain showed up.

2:30 >> Aggravation was a childhood favorite. And after three rounds, I got my fill in.

3:30 >> We transitioned from board games to cards.

4:30 >> We stopped with the games to prep for dinner. With all of fresh fruit, I whipped up a simple fruit salad.

5:00 >> Then back to playing more cards.

6:00 >> Homemade chicken and dumplings for dinner with a side of green beans and garden tomatoes.

7:30 >> Dessert looked like that chocolate zucchini cake that I baked the day before.

8:00 >> We said our goodbyes, gave hugs and headed back home.

8:30 >> On the road and almost home!

9:30 >> Time for blogging, and the rest of my latte. Because I never finish Starbucks in one setting and always save it for later!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I can't wait to see how your HBHW went!
