Thoughts For Friday + The Pick: Week 36

September 11, 2015

It's Friday, Friday, Friday!! I can't believe we've found our way back to another weekend eve. And truthfully, I couldn't be more thrilled. Weekends and I go together like fall and pumpkins, as I 'm sure most of you feel similarly. I do wish there was a way to make weekends permanently three days long instead of just two. Wouldn't that be ideal?

Regardless of the time we have, husband and I always try to soak every ounce of it up. We'll be apple picking, browsing stores for nursery accessories, and getting back into our House Group routine. It's going to be a fall-fabulous weekend for sure!

And thanks to another blogging gal, I've been reminded that this IS an HOUR BY HOUR WEEKEND!! So get those phone cameras a snappin' every hour (or as close to it as you can) and link-up with me on Monday!!

Last week I posed a question for you all about receiving an email notification that I had responded to your comments. THANK YOU for getting back to me and sharing! It seems that no one gets an email notification, which is a huge bummer. So I may look into changing up my commenting forum to Disqus, but I'm not for sure. Thoughts??

T H I N K I N G  > I can't believe it's been 14 years since the Twin Towers were struck in New York. I was 11 years old, and I remember that daily clearly. How odd the world felt as I tried to understand the attack's impact.

P O N D E R I N G > What parts of baby girl I've been feeling with all of her recent movements. She's getting so strong, which means her movements are more pronounced. On Wednesday night as I was trying to fall asleep, I felt a swift movement and reached down to feel my stomach, only to feel some part of her body pressed outward on my belly. I gently nudged her and she pushed back then relaxed. It was the neatest experience, and I'm holding out for more of the same.

N E E D I N G > To get back to a regimented schedule of time with the Lord. I'm really looking forward to BSF and House Group starting back up. Both will help my type A personality have a schedule when it comes to making time in the Word a priority instead of an 'if I have time' thing.

L I S T E N I N G > To rain. It's been randomly raining off and on, at times sending sheets of total gray at the windows.

D R E A M I N G > About the low 70° temperatures that will be gracing us this weekend. Thank you rain and cold front!

S W O O N I N G > Over the apple treats I'll be making with our fresh picked apples that we'll be gathering tomorrow.

And ladies, have you signed up for the Autumn Scarf Swap that Rachel and I and I are hosting?? Signing up is simple and it closes next Tuesday on September 15.

The way it works:
Send either Rachel or I an email committing yourself to send a scarf to another blogger. You'll need to include your mailing address and blog URL. By September 21 you will have received the gal you'll be sending a scarf to. Please have the scarf in the mail no later than September 28.

We want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone, so if you sign up please be sure to mark your calendar to make sure a scarf is on its way to your blogger by the 28th of September. Scarves should range between $12-$15 in price. We'll all share our scarf exchanges the following week in a blog post on October 7!

Rachel and I are looking forward to the swap and hope you join us for a some festive fall fun!
